Getting international with Monkey-project

I am Sarka, exchange student from Czech Republic.  I am a member of the Monkey team, which prepares TUOs wellbeing project called Project Sunshine.  It is a project that can change views on the world, socials problems and yourself.

Our work started with a big and long brainstorming, of which final products were great ideas for final program. Our goals in this project are to produce new views to problems like alcoholism, depression, quality of life and other opportunities how students can improve their minds for “well-being”.

Other step for good work was to separate into small groups and every group and every member has a different role. In this way making products is an effective work.

This way of learning is really new thing for me. I have never known and I have not been member of similar team and similar project. It is reason why I am so excited and confused at the moment.

In my country we do not know this way of learning. Of course, we organize some events too, but our team has to work with real life. In this project we are recognizing material and mental problems too. Material problems like bureaucracy, which can be on first time useless, but for final project in indispensable. Next our task is finding sponsors. This job is for the communication group, who has some great ideas and thanks to them we can make other job for realization our show to you. Mental problems can be barrier for us. Meeting with client, fight with short time and language barrier can be very stressful for all members of the team.

I like this way of learning. Where we can learn more than in real life? Probably we will be tired, desperate, and feel also other feelings, but we are a good hardworking team, our own work cooperating with literature, experiences, skills and creative minds of young people. The smile comes to our meeting and there is friendship.
